Cam Newtown showcases Jango

On December 9th, Carolina Panthers Quarterback, Cam Newton, posted a compilation video of highlights over the course of the season. While the highlights certainly impressed, what surprised people even more was his song choice. The song played throughout the video belonged to none other than Spokane rapper Jango. The track entitled “Legacy”, featuring Seattle duo KungFooGrip, perfectly accompanied the series of shots with its hard hitting instrumental and infectious chorus.

Recently, Jango opened for Travis Thompson who performed in Spokane on December 6th as part of his YouGood? Tour. A couple days later, he opened for another Seattle artist known as Macntaj at the Bartlett.

Over the past couple of years, Jango has steadily risen to prominence not only within the city, but also other parts of the Pacific North West. Newtons video will certainly increase the attention he receives nationally as well since the video already has been viewed over 160,000 times. If you have not heard the song, check it below:
